Elizabeth Baer, L.Ac., M.Ac. | Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine
Elizabeth Baer is a health care advocate, veteran acupuncturist, and co-founder of Capital Integrative Health. She received her Masters from the Maryland University of Integrative Health in 2006.
Elizabeth has been in private practice for 8 years in Takoma Park and is excited to begin building her new practice near the Palisades, the neighborhood in which she grew up. She works with all types of patients (including kids and teens), and has provided care for patients with many different health challenges, including:
- Muscular and orthopedic pain
- Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
- IBS, Crohn's, UC and undefined GI issues
- Diabetes and metabolic syndromes
- Unexplained infertility
- Depression and Anxiety
- Vertigo and Meniere's Disease
- Menstrual disorders, including menopausal symptoms
Elizabeth is often described by her patients as a health detective, who brings together western and non-western medical perspectives to diagnose, disrupt and transform illness. Her approach to healing is thoughtful and complete. With a combination of acupuncture, cupping, micro-current, nutritional counseling and Reiki, Elizabeth helps patients improve their health while becoming better observers of their body.
She trusts that there is a healthy person inside everyone, and works to empower patients to master their life to achieve spiritual, emotional and physical wellbeing.
