As a licensed psychologist and founder of The Center for Mind and Body Health, LLC, and as an affiliate at Capital Integrative Health, my goal is to provide unique and holistic treatments that empower my clients to heal. While traditional therapy focuses exclusively on emotions and thoughts, I address the person as a whole by viewing the body and mind as interconnected. I specialize in using individualized mind-body techniques to heal mental and physical symptoms, and clients often experience relief within the first session.
My comprehensive and integrated approach to therapy utilizes several psychological modalities including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Humanistic Psychology, and Family Systems Theory. I also examine the influence of lifestyle factors such as sleep, exercise, social aspects, and spirituality on mental and physical health for a faster and longer-lasting recovery.
I treat children, teens, adults, and the elderly with chronic illness and chronic pain as well as those suffering from undiagnosed illnesses. I also treat clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, OCD, phobias, eating disorders, difficulty adjusting to life changes, and relationship stress. I also assist in breaking negative behavior patterns to facilitate weight loss, smoking cessation or habit-breaking, and goal-setting.
In addition to individual, couples, family, and group therapy, I provide psychological testing and conduct workshops, presentations, and lectures in the community on topics such as chronic pain and the mind-body connection.
