Katie Morra, MS, RD, LDN | Functional Nutrition
Katie’s personal journey and interest in nutrition evolved and deepened as she became competitively involved in sports, bettering her body to reach the optimal potential of her physical abilities. Her college career began at Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU) in Teaneck, New Jersey, where she joined the Women’s Division I Basketball team on a full scholarship. At that time she struggled with her own personal health concerns, which helped form her desire to search for newer paths to achieve overall wellness. She found relief within the realm of functional medicine. She recognized the power behind the mind-body connection and health promotion through one’s relationship with food, environment, stress, lifestyle and physical activity.
Katie graduated from the State University of New York at Geneseo with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in biology. Following completion of her degree, Katie chose to follow a close passion of hers by pursuing a degree in nutrition at Sage Graduate School in Upstate New York. Combining her dual degrees to promote the overall wellness of others became her primary focus as a practitioner.
As a Registered Dietitian and Functional Medicine Nutritionist, Katie is dedicated to helping others find their path to overall health.
