Juliya Ivanilova, LMT | Myofascial Release, Massage
Juliya is an Advanced John F. Barnes Myofascial Release (JFB MFR) Practitioner, a graduate of the Potomac Massage Training Institute (PMTI), and a Licensed Massage Therapist in the state of Maryland. Juliya specializes in highly customized Myofascial Release treatments and therapeutic massage. She is a strong believer in mind-body connection and holistic approach to healing.
In 2013, after an intensive treatment course with John F. Barnes, Physical Therapist (PT), at his Treatment Center in Malvern, PA, Juliya became very interested in studying JFB MFR. As a patient, seeing rapid improvements in her own health and well-being, she felt a strong calling to become a JFB MFR therapist. Juliya wanted to practice this powerful modality to help other people to get back to a healthy active lifestyle. Since then Juliya has focused on studying JFB MFR and continues taking seminars to deepen and expand her knowledge further.
Juliya received hands-on MFR training working side-by-side with John F. Barns at Skill Enhancement program at Treatment Center in Malvern, PA. She has been co-treating with Phil Tavolacci, PT at TAVO Total Health in Silver Spring, MD. Juliya also practiced massage and Myofascial Release at the clinic of PMTI. She received academic and practical training in Swedish and Deep Tissue massage. Among other modalities she also studied Trager, Shiatsu, Polarity, Therapeutic Touch, and Reiki.
Juliya has an extensive background in both art and architecture. She loves traveling and spending time outdoors. One of her favorite things to do is Plein Air painting (http://www.jistudios.com/). Juliya believes that JFB MFR is another form of Art that allows her to combine her experiences and deepen her understanding and proficiency in all areas of life.
